The Madrid Audiovisual Cluster is a member of the steering committee of BROADCAST, the professional forum for audiovisual technology, which this year is adopting a new approach: the event will experience a quantum leap from the traditional exhibition of products to the proposal of emerging solutions and contents. In this manner, BROADCAST aims to adapt to the specificities of the audiovisual technology industry today.
Representatives of the main audiovisual clusters in the country will take part on the debate “Audiovisual Clusters as generators of content and business in the audiovisual sector”, which is coordinated by Fernando de Garcillán, Managing Director of Madrid Network’s Audiovisual Cluster.
Broadcast 2011 International Trade Show for Audiovisual Technology, located at IFEMA in Madrid (Feria de Madrid), from October 25th to the 28th, shall host an intensive program of seminars. One of the meetings that is attracting more interest is the debate over the role of visual clusters as generators of content and business, which will take place on the first day of the fair, October 25th, in the afternoon.

The event organized by IFEMA will host the roundtable “The Audiovisual Clusters as generators of content and business in the audiovisual sector”, which is coordinated by Fernando de Garcillán Prieto, Managing Director of the Madrid Audiovisual Cluster Network.

Besides Garcillán, the following speakers shall also participate in the roundtable: Mar Varela, Manager of the Galician Audiovisual Cluster, Eiken’s Director, Itziar Mena, and the Manager of the Valencia Audiovisual Clusters Javier Lopez; from Extremadura, Beatriz Tello, from Islas Baleares, Cristina Gomez, and from Andalusia, in this case through its President, Ignacio Gallego, and its Manager, Marta Izquierdo.

Each of them, in brief presentations, will make a review of their areas of interest followed by Q&A sessions.
