Pablo Caballero, a PhD Student at IMDEA Networks Institute was a finalist of the II Jumping Talent competition, celebrated last 27th of March. Caballero, who is undertaking his doctorate studies at University Carlos III of Madrid whilst performing research work at IMDEA Networks, was one of the 100 Spanish university students selected from a pool of 9658 applicants. Candidates from all disciplines were chosen on the basis of their outstanding curriculum and employment potential to participate on a talent contest organized by Universia and Trabajando.com. 10 of the most important companies in Spain were responsible for the selection process. Caballero made it into the reduced group of 80 students that formed the final competing teams led by Accenture, Amadeus, Bankinter, KPMG, Kyocera, Mediaset España, Mondelēz International, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Sanitas and Vodafone. Kyocera won this year’s edition after several rounds in which skills such as public speaking, problem solving, teamwork or creativity were tested at an individual and group level. 92% of the finalists of the 1st edition of Jumping Talent are currently employed.
