23 September 2013

Luca Cominardi has become a member of our research team. He will be working as a PhD Student from September 2013.

Prior to his incorporation to IMDEA Networks, Luca undertook a six-month internship at Universidad Carlos III of Madrid, in Spain, during which he developed the first known implementation of the IEEE 802.11aa standard focused on the improvement of a multicast multimedia transmission over 802.11 networks.

Luca Cominardi received his B.Sc and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from the Italian Università degli Studi di Brescia (UniBS) in 2010 and 2013, respectively. During his M.Sc degree he collaborated in the EU research project FLAVIA, of which IMDEA Networks is an active partner. His work into the WP6 project involved testing new firmware and new kernel for embedded multi-node wireless devices.

At present, his main research interests are Software Defined Networking, Mobile IP and Wireless networks.
