Summer school

As part of the “Teleco Renta” telecommunications studies promotion plan, a summer school on 5G/6G has been organized with international speakers from the academic and business world.

The summer school will be held at the Menéndez Pelayo University (Cuenca campus) from July 1 to 5. For MUIT master students from all over Spain, registration, accommodation and meals are free of charge.

The main objective of the summer school is to offer students studying the Master’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering the possibility of learning the latest advances in 5G/6G communications from prestigious professionals who are experts in these topics, both from industry and academia. In this way, these students are expected to be motivated to start a research career in the field of 5G/6G communications, thus nurturing the scientific community working on these topics with the necessary talent to continue advancing and improving the performance of the sector in our country, in line with the objectives of the Plan for the Promotion of Telecommunications Studies (Teleco Renta) that subsidizes this summer school.

The advanced course lectures will be given in Spanish or English (without translation), depending on each speaker.

Tuition and accommodation subsidized by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Civil Service and the European Union – EU Recovery Plan as funding entities, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.

Teleco Renta is part of the UNICO program (UNiversalization of Digital Infrastructures for COhession), and the objective is to attract talent to telecommunications studies, thus helping to solve the talent shortage in technologies such as advanced 5G and 6G, which are fundamental for research centers and industries.

Deadline for registration: May 20th.
