Five IMDEA Networks publications have been accepted to appear at IEEE INFOCOM 2015 – the premier conference in telecommunication and computer networking research. Six of the Institute’s researchers have co-authored these articles.

The five studies will be presented at the 34th IEEE Annual International Conference on Computer Communications (INFOCOM), to be held in Hong Kong, China, from April 26th to May 1st, 2015. INFOCOM 2015 received 1,640 papers, of which 316 papers were accepted after a thorough review process by a Technical Program Committee with over 400 members, who are overseen by 46 Area Chairs. The acceptance ratio is 19%.

The articles propose and analyze innovative techniques for topics related to infrastructure-less wireless communications, Big Data, Crowdsourcing, Queuing theory, real experiments with Android, communication protocols and algorithms, energy efficiency or networked systems, amongst others.

These scientific advances are the result of collaborative work with researchers from academia and private companies from different countries. From the USA, Rice University, Purdue University, and Google Inc., from Italy, Politecnico di Torino and IEIIT-CNR, from Russia the St. Petersburg Academic University, the Higher School of Economics at the National Research University, and the Steklov Mathematical Institute, all based in St. Petersburg; finally, HES SO Valais in Switzerland, and University Carlos III of Madrid as well as IMDEA Networks Institute, both in Spain.
