29 June 2015

Maurizio Rea has become a member of the IMDEA Networks research team. He will be working as a PhD Student from July 2015, as part of the Pervasive Wireless Systems Group, led by Dr. Domenico Giustiniano, Research Assistant Professor at the Madrid Institute. His main areas of interest are WLAN indoor localization, wireless networks and data analysis.

In 2011, Maurizio Rea obtained his B.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Palermo (Italy), and in 2015 he went on to complete an M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering from the same university. After concluding his studies he took up the position of Researcher at ETH Zürich (Switzerland). The goal of his research was then the improvement of a localization system, based on the time of flight, to confront it with other localization systems in different competitions.
