Arturo Azcorra, Director of IMDEA Networks Institute and Full Professor at University Carlos III of Madrid, is interviewed, together with other ICT experts, on the topic of 5G communications, at the program «World Ecommerce» of the Spanish radio station «Radio Internacional de España».
In this interview Dr. Azcorra explains the work of IMDEA Networks in the development of the science of networks and on 5G communications in particular, and delves into the meaning and implications of 5G technologies for our day-to-day life and into their expected economic and social impact.
The program discusses, among other issues, the relevance of the acceleration of human cognitive processes as a result of the permanent interconnection and the increasing capabilities of IT devices. The panel of experts examines the implications of incorporating 5G into our everyday lives and, in particular, what the so-called "4.0 industrial revolution" means, what will be its advantages and its uses, and what changes will end users experience as a result of it. Finally, the program examines the implications of 5G innovation for e-commerce in the context of its overall economic impact.
The full 55 minute program was broadcast live on March 14th, 2017, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm CEST. World E-Commerce is the only radio program in Spanish focused on cross-border e-commerce. It is broadcast in Spain, Argentina, Rumania, Italy, China, South Africa, Lithuania, Serbia, Mexico and Colombia.
