An IMDEA Networks PhD Student Earns an Award from the COIT-AEIT

A Graduation Project for the Telematics Engineering degree written by a PhD student working at IMDEA Networks, chosen as a nationwide finalist in the XXXII Edition of the Awards to the Best Doctoral Dissertations and Graduation Projects granted by the Official College of Telecommunication Engineers (COIT) / Spanish Association of Telecommunication Engineers (AEIT).


Jose Pablo Salvador Garcia, a student at the Telematics Engineering Department of the University Carlos III of Madrid (UC3M), has been selected as a Finalist of the Telematics Association (ATEL, ASOCIACIÓN de TELEMÁTICA) Award to the Best Graduation or Master’s Degree Project in Telematics Engineering, awarded by the Official College of Telecommunication Engineers (COIT) and the Spanish Association of Telecommunication Engineers (AEIT). 23 companies and sponsors have taken part in this thirty-second edition of the “Telecommunication Engineers” Awards.

The prize awarded by the COIT has been:

“Telematics Association” Award to the Best Graduation or Master’s Degree Project in Telematics Engineering to the dissertation titled “Implementation of Advanced Network Mobility Mechanisms over Fonera Routers”, written by Mr. Jose Pablo Salvador García and leaded by Dr. Carlos Jesús Bernardos Cano, both belonging to the UC3M.

Jose Pablo Salvador currently conducts his academic and research activity as a Research Assistant at Institute IMDEA Networks and as a PhD student at the UC3M, under the supervision of Dr. Pablo Serrano, Associate Professor of Telematics at that University. He is focusing his research on the fields of wireless networks and Quality of Service (QoS), in addition to actively contributing to the objectives of the European FLAVIA Project, funded by the Seventh Framework Program.
