Edge Networks and NetEcon Research Groups at IMDEA invite applications for a PhD position in the field of edge intelligence, working on distributed machine learning (ML) inference to better support ML applications in the ecosystem of IoT and edge computing. The candidate will be jointly supervised by Jaya Prakash Champati and Sergey Gorinsky.
– Strong mathematical/analytical skills with a background in Machine Learning and at least one of the following subjects: Probability and Random Processes, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, and Convex Optimization.
– Good programming skills. Hands on experience with system implementation is an added plus.
– Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
