Marco Canil is a Post-Doc Researcher at IMDEA Networks in Madrid, Spain. He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in 2019 and 2020, respectively, from the University of Padova, Italy. At the same university, he received his Ph.D. in 2024 under the supervision of Prof. Michele Rossi. In 2023, he was a visiting research scholar at New York University, Tandon School of Engineering, with Prof. Sundeep Rangan, and in 2020 he was intern at Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), working with Dr. Paolo Dini. He published several papers in prestigious conferences and journals, including IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing, IEEE Sensors Journal, and IEEE RadarConf. Recognized for his research quality, he was awarded the “Francesco Carassa” Award by the Associazione Gruppo Telecomunicazioni e Tecnologie dell’Informazione (GTTI) and by the Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per le Telecomunicazioni (CNIT), in 2022. Moreover, he was one the recipients of the Fondazione “Ing. Aldo Gini” Grant from the University of Padova to sponsor research visit periods. He is a member of IEEE, IEEE Communication Society, and IEEE Signal Processing Society, actively serves as a reviewer of several IEEE and ACM conferences and journals, and was part of the TPC of ICDCN 2025. His primary research interests include ISAC, mmWave sensing, 6G, and data fusion.
