Research Engineer position in wireless systems for 5G and beyond

IMDEA Networks’ Pervasive Wireless System Group headed by Prof. Domenico Giustiniano invites applications for a Research Engineer position in the area of wireless systems for 5G and beyond.

As a member of the team, the researcher will be involved in cutting edge research, will participate in international projects with academic and industrial partners, and will perform experimental work with close interaction with PhD students and international collaborators.

Skills Required

• Very good publication record in top academic conferences and journals
• Interest in mentoring graduate students
• Excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills
• Very good organization and communication skills

Academic Qualifications

• The candidate must have a strong knowledge in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telematics Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering. A Master’s degree would be a plus

Experience

• Experience in building systems and experimental work in the area of wireless systems
• Experience in one of the core areas of the group (5G localization, visible light communication/LiFi – openvlc.org, large scale spectrum sensing – electrosense.org) will be considered a plus but it is not compulsory

Contract Duration and Type

• 24 months, renewable based on performance
