IMDEA Networks’ Pervasive Wireless System Group headed by Prof. Domenico Giustiniano invites applications for one PhD position in the area of 6G localization for non-terrestrial networks. As a member of the team, the students will be involved in cutting edge system research together with industrial partners, will participate in international projects, and will experimentally verify proposed ideas and concepts. All work will be carried out under a single 5G-NR open platform based on OpenAirInterface and demonstrate the potential of 6G for positioning services leveraging non-terrestrial networks.

The selected student will be supervised by Dr Domenico Giustiniano, Leader of IMDEA’s Pervasive Wireless Systems Group

The position requires:

  • Degree / Master in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Excellent understanding of the fundamentals of wireless communications systems.
  • Coding skills using Matlab, C/C++, Python.
  • High level of English (English will be the working language)

Selected candidates may be invited at IMDEA Networks in Madrid for physical interview and for showing the environment and the lab facilities.
