PhD Position in wireless systems for 5G and beyond

IMDEA Networks’ Pervasive Wireless System Group headed by Prof. Domenico Giustiniano invites applications for a PhD position in the area of wireless systems for 5G and beyond. As a member of the team, the researcher will be involved in cutting edge system research, will participate in international projects with academic and industrial partners, and will closely interact with team members and international collaborators. The selected candidate will work in one of the core areas of the team: i) Low Power LiFi for IoT (openvlc.org), ii) Large-scale Spectrum Monitoring and Analytics (electrosense.org), iii) 5G and Beyond Localization Systems.

Academic Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in computer science, telecommunication engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field

Requirements:

• Excellent degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunication engineering or equivalent disciplines
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English
• Solid background in one or more among the following areas: signal processing, machine learning, wireless networks, embedded systems
• Hands-on experience with experimental work will considered a plus
