Major Event (Highlighted Event)

The European Researchers’ Night in Madrid 2024 coordinated by the Fundación para el Conocimiento madrimasd, is an action framed in the Horizonte Europe Programme. In Europe, 350 cities are joining the celebration.

On Friday, September 27, in the auditorium of the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid, researchers from the IMDEA Institutes will talk about their professional and personal commitment to a more sustainable planet and how science helps to achieve it. The activity will have a mixed format, with demonstrations of some scientific advances, interviews, discussion and questions from the audience.

Our Research Associate Professor Narseo Vallina will discuss how research on the Internet, cybersecurity and digital privacy is essential for a more sustainable, humane and just planet and society, as it seeks to protect fundamental human rights such as privacy, anonymity, free access to information, avoid discrimination, and guarantee freedom of expression.

Activity live broadcasted from the Residencia de Estudiantes through: http://www.edaddeplata.org/.
