The Pervasive Wireless Systems Group at IMDEA Networks, led by Prof. Domenico Giustiniano, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the areas of embedded systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and wireless communications.

The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge experimental research on Optical Wireless Communication (OWC) for UAVs, including the design, implementation, and evaluation of embedded communication platforms and research prototypes.

The position combines embedded hardware and software development, wireless experimentation, and UAV-based prototyping, with the goal of producing high-impact research and publications at leading international venues.

Skills Required for the position:

• Solid background in embedded systems
• Experience with UAVs, robotics, or autonomous platforms
• Strong publication track record
• Experience designing and building research prototypes
• Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
• Very good organization and communication skills
• Proficiency in English

Academic Qualifications

• PhD degree in telecommunication engineering, electrical engineer or similar

Contract conditions

• 12 months, renewable based on performance and funding sources.  It includes social and health benefits.
• Hours per week: Full time.
