Research engineer in the area of validation of network services using 5G mobile network

We invite applications for a research position in the area of validation of network services using 5G mobile network. The research engineer will be involved in the design, prototyping, and evaluation of novel network services, in the context of an EU funded research project. The research engineer will support the activities through setting up virtualized execution environment and designing the details of the network services.

The position offers:

• Collaborating with major industrial partners in the field of mobile networking in the context of EU funded projects (e.g., Telefónica, Ericsson, Nokia)

Skills Required:

The candidate should have a subset of the following skills:

• Mobile network architectures
• Virtualization and network orchestration technologies
• System administration
• Software implementation analysis and experimental evaluation of mobile network
• Very good organization and communication skills, good academic transcripts

Requirements:

• Degree in computer science, telecommunication engineering, or a related field
• English and Spanish are mandatory

Contract Duration & Type:

• 30 months, renewable based on performance
• Full-time contract with competitive salary. Includes social and health benefits
