IMDEA Networks’ Wireless Networking Group headed by Prof. Joerg Widmer invites applications for a postdoc position in the area of integrated sensing and communications (ISAC). The post-doctoral researcher will work on all aspects of sensing (e.g., signal processing for angle estimation, ranging, Doppler extraction, ISAC resource allocation tradeoffs, challenges of large-scale deployments, wireless location systems, multi-modal sensing, machine learning for sensing, etc.) at millimeter-wave and sub-6 GHz frequencies. As a member of the wireless team, the researcher will be involved in cutting edge research and experimental work as well as close interaction with PhD students.
Strong background in wireless communications, wireless sensing, and radar
Very good publication record in top academic conferences and journals
Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
Interest in mentoring graduate students
Very good organization and communication skills
PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
Experience in building systems and experimental work in the area of wireless networking and sensing
Contract Duration and Type
3-year full-time contract. Includes social and health benefits.
