IMDEA Networks’ Pervasive Wireless System Group headed by Prof. Domenico Giustiniano invites applications for a PhD positions in the area of 5G and Beyond Localization Systems and LiFi research. As a member of the team, the researchere will be involved in cutting edge system research, will participate in international projects with academic and industrial partners, and will perform experimental work with close interaction with PhD students and international collaborators.

The selected students will work on projects in the area of pervasive wireless systems, such as battery-free IoT networks and 5G localization.

The selected student will be supervised by Dr Domenico Giustiniano, Leader of IMDEA’s Pervasive Wireless Systems Group

Requirements (as many as possible):

•  Degree / Master in Telecommunications or equivalent.
•  Excellent understanding of the fundamentals of wireless communications systems.
•  Coding skills using Matlab, C/C++, Python. Experience on Battery-free IoT Networks (including LiFi research), Large-scale Spectrum Analytics, 5G and Beyond Localization Systems.
