PhD position in Sustainable Mobile Networks

The NETCOM Lab invites applications for a PhD Student position supervised by Prof. Albert Banchs in Sustainable Mobile Networks. The student will work on sustainability in 6G networks, participating in EU projects with leading industrial partners, involving the following topics and tasks:

  1. Design and implementation of energy-effcient algorithms and protocols
  2. Resource allocation models and algorithms for sustainable networks
  3. Network slicing, virtualization and orchestration technologies
  4. 6G mobile network architectures
  5. Performance and energy analysis and experimental evaluation of wireless systems

Requirements

  1. Degree in electrical engineering, telecommunication engineering, computer science, telematics engineering, or equivalent disciplines
  2. Proficiency in English is mandatory
  3. Excellent academic transcripts
  4. Solid background in networking and mobile communications
  5. High motivation to conduct a PhD in the area of mobile networking
