Alfredo Redondo, Distinguished telecommunication industry executive

External Presentation (External Speaker)

Each year, 50 million new startups emerge worldwide, yet only 10% can sustain themselves in the long run. Cloud computing and generative artificial intelligence are driving a surge in these ventures across various sectors, with companies like ByteDance and OpenAI leading the way. This presentation explores the world of entrepreneurship, moving beyond the perceived glamour to address the underlying realities. We will examine five key pillars that make the vision a reality: the Idea, Yourself, the Talent, the Money and Make it Happen. Discussion will include how to develop sustainable innovation, the critical role of talent in large, interconnected economies, effective funding strategies, and the necessary project management approach to successfully navigate priorities and adapt to change, ultimately joining the small percentage of thriving startups.
