Biography
Miguel Peón Quirós received his M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), in 2001. He has been an E.C. Marie Curie scholar at IMEC vzw, Belgium, and he is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Computer Architecture and Automation Department of the UCM, where he also worked as a Teaching Assistant for five years. During this period, he led several knowledge transfer projects between the University and industry. Later, he has also served as a freelance consultant. His research interestes are on system-level optimization techniques for the design of digital systems and ubiquitous (networked) computing.
