IMDEA Networks Institute invites exceptional B.Sc., or M.Sc graduates for a research position in quantum networks and communications, with a particular interest in exploring the security landscape in today’s quantum networks and beyond. The selected candidate will become a member of the Internet Analytics and Cybersecurity groups led by Dr. Narseo Vallina-Rodriguez and Dr. Guillermo Suarez-Tangil.

The position requires:

•  A B.Sc. in physics, mathematics, computer science or telecommunications engineering (or equivalent).
•  Candidates already registered at M.Sc. programs (ongoing) are encouraged to apply, offering the possibility to combine this position with their M.Sc. program.
•  Solid understanding of Quantum Mechanics as well as foundational notions of Quantum Information Theory and Networks.
•  Background in statistical or data analysis.
•  Proficiency in English. 

Contract Duration and Type:

•   Initially one year, with the prospect of extending it for another one.
•   Competitive salary. The candidate’s experience will be positively considered.
•   Full-time contract. Includes social and health benefits.

This contract is cofounded by the project MADQuantum-CM: Quantum Communication in the Autonomous Region of Madrid, belonging to the Quantum Communication Complementary Plan funded by the Regional Government of Madrid, the Spanish State through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, and the European Union through the NextGeneration EU funds.
