The Internet Analytics Group (IAG) and The Cybersecurity Group at IMDEA Networks is looking for a Research Engineer to join our international team.

The selected candidate will become a member of the Cybersecurity group led by Dr. Guillermo Suarez-Tangil and the Internet Analytics Group led by Dr. Narseo VALLINA-RODRÍGUEZ.

IAG is an internationally recognized research group headed by Prof. Narseo Vallina-Rodriguez that conducts ground-breaking research in the area of network measurements and cybersecurity. The IAG group is interested in hiring a research assistant to provide technical and research support to the group in ongoing research activities including maintenance and deployment of research infrastructure, dataset analysis, and other research activities. The candidate will be responsible as well for engaging in tech transfer activities and consortium management efforts in ongoing EU projects.

Contract duration:

6 months, renewable based on funds availability and performance.

Requirements:

•  BsC or MsC in computer science, telecommunications engineering, or other knowledge fields provided that the candidate has proven prior experience in related research fields and data analysis.
•  Practical experience in the static and dynamic analysis of mobile apps.
•  Analysis of PII dissemination in network flows.
•  Proven experience in IT, computer networks and systems’ management.
•  Solid background in database management and Linux systems.
•  Prior experience in Python, C/C++,and  RESF-ful APIs (e.g., including experience in Linux systems, shell environments and command line tools such as SSH and Git).
•  English language fluency is a must, both spoken and written.
