Postdoctoral fellowship in line-rate machine learning

The Networks Data Science group (http://nds.networks.imdea.org/) at IMDEA Networks Institute has an opening for one Postdoctoral fellow in the area of applied machine learning (ML) to mobile network systems, with a starting date in January 2024. The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing activities of the NDS group on developing, implementing and demonstrating solutions for line-rate inference using Random Forest models, and investigate how to deploy those in 5G and beyond 5G user planes.

The position requires:

• a PhD in Computer Science or relevant field obtained by the joining date
• a solid research record with strong publications in top-tier venues
• fluency in written and spoken English
• enthusiasm for systems research
• at least 2 years of experience in programming of industry-grade network hardware (e.g., Intel Tofino switches) with P4.
