IMDEA Networks’ Pervasive Wireless System Group headed by Prof. Domenico Giustiniano invites applications for PhD positions in the framework of HORIZON-MSCA-2023-DN-01-01 ANT Project.
The project aims to develop lightweight AI models and customize the hardware of swimming milli-robots for energy-efficient, embedded processing using non-volatile memory and AI intelligence. It will test the system in water and underwater scenarios with a battery-free IoT network. Expected outcomes include embedded AI for low-power sensors, autonomous motion algorithms, and a proof-of-concept evaluation. The PhD, under UC3M, includes secondments at TU Delft for energy-efficient AI model design and at A5 for underwater testbed evaluation, with joint papers as key deliverables.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 101169439
