PhD position in digital twins for 6G mobile networks

The NETCOM Lab invites applications for a PhD Student position supervised by Prof. Albert Banchs in digital twins for 6G mobile networks. The successful candidate will work closely with a world-leader industrial partner to do research on the use of digital twins to improve the performance of Artificial Intelligence in 6G mobile networks. The goal will be to publish the research results in top worldwide scientific venues and to patent them jointly with the industrial partners.

The position requires:

  • a degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or related field, with a solid academic record
  • good programming skills
  • a strong interest in mobile networks, digital twins and AI for telecoms
  • at least one of (a) knowledge of mobile networks or (b) strong AI know-how
  • fluency in written and spoken English
  • enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research.
