The Networks Data Science group (http://nds.networks.imdea.org/) at IMDEA Networks Institute has an opening for one PhD student in the area of mobile

network traffic analysis and intelligence. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing activities of the group, by (i) analyzing massive

service-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) collected in operational 4G/5G networks, (ii) drawing insights on their dynamics and long-term evolution as

5G deployments spread out, and (iii) using the results to support the design of practical AI solutions for the automation of network functionalities.

The position requires:

  • a degree in Computer Science or related field, with a solid academic record
  • excellent programming skills
  • a strong interest in big data analysis and/or applied AI for telecoms
  • fluency in written and spoken English
  • enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research.
