PhD position in blockchain and peer-to-peer networks

 The recently established Distributed Systems and Networks (DistSys) Group at IMDEA Networks is inviting applications for a PhD position under the supervision of Dr. Lucianna KIFFER in the area of blockchain and peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on the cutting edge of distributed systems, with projects that involve both the analysis and measurement of existing systems as well as the potential design of new protocols.

The position requires:

  • a degree in Computer Science or related field, with a solid academic record
  • fluency in written and spoken English
  • a keen interest in the design, analysis, and measurement of peer-to-peer distributed systems (prior work in blockchain networks/cryptocurrencies is a plus)
  • good programming skills or strong theoretical background
