Nikolaos Laoutaris is a research professor at IMDEA Networks Institute in Madrid, and director of its Data Transparency Group (DTG). Prior to that he was director of data science at Eurecat and chief scientist of the Data Transparency Lab which he co-founded in 2014 during his 10 year tenure as a researcher in Telefonica. Before that, Nikolaos was a postdoc fellow at Harvard University, a Marie Curie postdoc fellow at Boston University, and a PhD student in computer science at the University of Athens. His main research interests include privacy, transparency, data protection, economics of networks and information, intelligent transportation, distributed systems, protocols, and network measurements.
