The Networks Data Science group (http://nds.networks.imdea.org/) at IMDEA Networks Institute has an opening for one research engineer, with a starting date in early 2024. The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing activities of the group by deploying, configuring and maintaining the compute and experimental platforms of the group, which comprise a big data cluster with more than 2TB or RAM and over 300TB of storage, machine learning servers with NVIDIA GPUs and nearly 700 MB of VRAM, and a state-of-the-art 100-Gbps programmable network testbed with 5 Intel Tofino switches and multiple SmartNICs.
The successful applicant will work in collaboration with the IT services of the institute and the researchers using the aforementioned resources. The person will be also directly involved in research activities concerning data-driven and experimental evaluations of the solutions developed by the group.
