The recently established Distributed Systems and Networks (DistSys) Group at IMDEA Networks is inviting applications for a PhD position under the supervision of Dr. Lucianna Kiffer in the area of measurements of blockchain and peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge research on the performance, scalability, and security of decentralized systems, with a particular emphasis on network-level measurements.
The successful candidate will investigate the underlying communication structures of P2P and blockchain protocols, develop novel methodologies for large-scale network measurements, and analyze the impact of network characteristics on system performance.
