Nikolaos Apostolakis, Estudiante de doctorado en IMDEA Networks Institute, Madrid, España

In-house Presentation

This talk explores how quantum computing can perform Forward Error Correction (FEC), inherent in mobile networks. We introduce Qu4Fec, a quantum-based LDPC decoder that achieves significantly lower block error rates in simulation than the state-of-the-art. We also evaluate its performance on real quantum hardware, uncovering key limitations and proposing hardware directions for future quantum processors. The talk offers both a reality check and a forward-looking vision for quantum-enabled 6G systems.
