En este taller de trabajo, un grupo de expertos de renombre ofrecerá presentaciones clave y participará en paneles para evaluar dónde se encuentra hoy la investigación de redes y, lo que es más importante, hacia dónde se dirige ésta en el futuro. Profundizaremos sobre los desarrollos en los dominios de aplicación de las redes tradicionales (como SDN, 5G e IoT) y las nuevas herramientas que han surgido para ellos (Machine Learning, Blockchain), así como una nueva dirección que va más allá de las redes tradicionales (protección de datos, discriminación algorítmica y sesgo, y propagación de noticias y desinformación). El taller también incluirá charlas invitadas que abarcan el entorno más amplio en el que existe la investigación de redes, incluidas las tendencias de negocios y el desarrollo en telecomunicaciones y servicios de TIC en general, cuestiones regulatorias, así como la innovación y la transferencia de tecnología.
