The NETCOM research group currently focuses its research activities on the following main areas:

• Network Architectures
• Communication Protocols
• Wireless and Mobile Networks
• Peer-to-Peer Systems
• Distributed Services.

Current main focus includes 5G networks (with the participation to the EU project TYPES, coordinated by IMDEA Networks) and SDN-based architectures (with the participation to the EU project NetIDE).
