IMDEA Networks Wireless Networking Group headed by Prof. Joerg Widmer undertakes cutting-edge experimental research in the broad area of next generation wireless and mobile networks (802.11 family, 5G and 6G). We invite applications for MSc internship positions in one of the core areas of the team:

  • (a) Experimentation with Wireless Communication Systems
  • (b) Explainable and Robust AI for 6G Networks

The position requires:

  • Enrollment in a MSc degree in Europe in electrical engineering, telecommunication engineering or equivalent disciplines
  • Excellent programming skills in (a) C++, Matlab, or (b) Python; scripting, source code management are desirable
  • At least one of (a) experience with wireless communication systems or (b) AI know-how in regression/forecasting or deep reinforcement learning or federated learning
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research.
