Researchers from the IMDEA Networks Institute have been recognized as Distinguished Members of the Technical Program Committee (TPC) of IEEE INFOCOM 2026, one of the world’s leading conferences in computer networking.
Faculty members Marco Fiore and Sergey Gorinsky received this distinction from the TPC chairs for their outstanding service during the review process. The Distinguished Member recognition is awarded based on peer evaluations and reflects fairness, consistency in review scores, and timely completion of review responsibilities.
“Being a Distinguished TPC Member at IEEE INFOCOM is an honor that reflects peer recognition for substantive, fair, and timely reviews, helping maintain the quality of a premier global forum covering all areas of networking research,” Gorinsky says.
Organized by the IEEE, IEEE INFOCOM is a top-ranked international conference that brings together researchers from academia and industry to present advances in computer networking, spanning both theoretical and systems research. The 2026 edition will take place in Tokyo, Japan, from 18 to 21 May.
Serving on the Technical Program Committee of IEEE INFOCOM represents a significant responsibility within the research community, as its members contribute to shaping the scientific program and ensuring the quality of the conference. Since the award’s inception in 2015, IMDEA Networks faculty have periodically been recognized for their contributions to the IEEE INFOCOM TPC, highlighting the institute’s ongoing engagement with the international networking research community and its continued commitment to excellence.
