{"id":8937,"date":"2017-11-17T14:22:27","date_gmt":"2017-11-17T14:22:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/networks.imdea.org\/localizacion-acustica-subacuatica-de-mamiferos-y-vehiculos-marinos\/"},"modified":"2020-10-21T13:13:06","modified_gmt":"2020-10-21T11:13:06","slug":"localizacion-acustica-subacuatica-de-mamiferos-y-vehiculos-marinos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/networks.imdea.org\/es\/localizacion-acustica-subacuatica-de-mamiferos-y-vehiculos-marinos\/","title":{"rendered":"Localizaci\u00f3n ac\u00fastica subacu\u00e1tica de mam\u00edferos y veh\u00edculos marinos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>Investigadores de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.networks.imdea.org\/\">IMDEA Networks<\/a> (Espa&ntilde;a) en colaboraci&oacute;n con la <a href=\"http:\/\/www.haifa.ac.il\/index.php\/en\/home-eng\">Universidad de Haifa<\/a> (Israel) han desarrollado un <strong>sistema ac&uacute;stico subacu&aacute;tico<\/strong> para la localizaci&oacute;n de mam&iacute;feros marinos, veh&iacute;culos submarinos y otras fuentes de sonido en los oc&eacute;anos, utilizando como receptor un &uacute;nico <strong>hidr&oacute;fono<\/strong> (b&aacute;sicamente un micr&oacute;fono submarino).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Comprender los oc&eacute;anos<\/strong>, que cubren dos tercios de la superficie de la Tierra y contienen informaci&oacute;n sobre el clima, la historia de nuestro planeta y recursos energ&eacute;ticos y formas de vida a&uacute;n por explorar, es esencial para <strong>el futuro de nuestro planeta<\/strong>. La <strong>transmisi&oacute;n ac&uacute;stica e inal&aacute;mbrica de informaci&oacute;n a trav&eacute;s de los oc&eacute;anos<\/strong> es una de las tecnolog&iacute;as que facilitan el desarrollo de futuros sistemas de observaci&oacute;n oce&aacute;nica, un paso importante hacia una mejor percepci&oacute;n de tantas cuestiones cruciales sobre las que los oc&eacute;anos parecen tener la clave.<\/p>\n<p>Este novedoso esfuerzo de investigaci&oacute;n colaborativa se ha centrado en un aspecto de la <strong>transmisi&oacute;n de informaci&oacute;n bajo el agua<\/strong>: un sistema m&aacute;s simple, m&aacute;s eficiente y menos costoso para la <strong>localizaci&oacute;n de fuentes de sonido originadas en los oc&eacute;anos<\/strong>. En la actualidad, el coste de cubrir un &aacute;rea amplia del oc&eacute;ano con m&uacute;ltiples receptores para localizar mam&iacute;feros marinos o veh&iacute;culos submarinos en funci&oacute;n de las se&ntilde;ales ac&uacute;sticas que producen es excesivamente alto. Por lo tanto, este equipo internacional de investigadores se ha puesto como objetivo resolver el problema de c&oacute;mo estimar la trayectoria de una fuente sumergida que emite se&ntilde;ales ac&uacute;sticas sin emplear ning&uacute;n nodo de anclaje o una matriz receptora.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"rtecenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Picture1.png\" style=\"height:233px; margin:10px 5px; width:311px\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Picture2.png\" style=\"height:233px; margin-bottom:10px; margin-top:10px; width:311px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtecenter\"><em>Elizaveta Dubrovinskaya durante un experimento en un bote cerca de la coste del norte de Israel., Recogi&oacute; datos con un sistema de comunicaci&oacute;n ac&uacute;stica que emplea un ordenador &ldquo;robusto&rdquo;, especialmente dise&ntilde;ado para operar en ambientes y condiciones dif&iacute;ciles.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Puesto que los algoritmos de localizaci&oacute;n convencionales, como los utilizados en los sistemas similares al GPS, no pueden trasladarse directamente a un escenario subacu&aacute;tico, en este sistema innovador la localizaci&oacute;n se realiza gracias a la incorporaci&oacute;n de informaci&oacute;n adicional sobre el entorno que rodea al hidr&oacute;fono receptor.<\/p>\n<p>En particular, <strong>el sistema se basa en la informaci&oacute;n sobre la variaci&oacute;n de la topograf&iacute;a submarina<\/strong>, de las profundidades y formas del terreno subacu&aacute;tico, conocido en t&eacute;rminos t&eacute;cnicos como &quot;batimetr&iacute;a&quot;. Estas variaciones, que se registran a lo largo de diferentes direcciones desde el receptor, inducen cambios en la propagaci&oacute;n de la se&ntilde;al, y estos cambios son modelados y utilizados para discriminar la ubicaci&oacute;n de la fuente de la se&ntilde;al. El resultado, una vez que ha sido eliminado de los c&aacute;lculos el &quot;ruido&quot; residual, ofrece una estimaci&oacute;n aproximada de la trayectoria de la fuente de sonido que est&eacute; siendo evaluada.<\/p>\n<p>Los cient&iacute;ficos responsables de este trabajo consideran que las estimaciones de ubicaci&oacute;n obtenidas con este sistema contendr&aacute;n errores m&iacute;nimos, siempre que el receptor tenga informaci&oacute;n ambiental suficientemente precisa y actualizada. <strong>La simplicidad de la implementaci&oacute;n y el despliegue del innovador sistema de localizaci&oacute;n subacu&aacute;tica que han dise&ntilde;ado<\/strong>, hace que incluso sea posible que aplicaciones con limitaciones de tama&ntilde;o, potencia y costes de implementaci&oacute;n logren la localizaci&oacute;n.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/news\/2017\/Picture3.png\" style=\"height:295px; margin-left:5px; margin-right:5px; width:295px\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/news\/2017\/Picture4.png\" style=\"height:295px; width:393px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"rtecenter\"><em>Recogida experimental de datos a trav&eacute;s de un sistema de comunicaci&oacute;n ac&uacute;stica en un bote cerca de la costa del norte de Israel. La boya en la imagen pertenece al proyecto THEMO.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Esta investigaci&oacute;n, publicada en ingl&eacute;s bajo el t&iacute;tulo &lsquo;Anchorless Underwater Acoustic Localization&rsquo; (localizaci&oacute;n ac&uacute;stica bajo el agua sin anclajes), recibi&oacute; recientemente el <strong>premio a la mejor publicaci&oacute;n<\/strong> en el 14&deg; congreso del IEEE sobre posicionamiento, navegaci&oacute;n y comunicaciones (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wpnc.info\">WPNC 2017<\/a>), que tuvo lugar en Bremen (Alemania) a fines de octubre pasado.<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores de IMDEA Networks autores de este estudio son el <a href=\"http:\/\/people.networks.imdea.org\/~paolo_casari\/\">Dr. Paolo Casari<\/a>, profesor asistente de investigaci&oacute;n, y <a href=\"http:\/\/people.networks.imdea.org\/~elizaveta_dubrovinskaya\/\">Elizaveta Dubrovinskaya<\/a>, estudiante de doctorado bajo su supervisi&oacute;n. El <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/edu.haifa.ac.il\/anl\">Dr. Roee Diamant<\/a>, el tercer autor, es jefe del Laboratorio de Ac&uacute;stica y Navegaci&oacute;n Submarina (ANL, en ingl&eacute;s) de la Facultad de Ciencias Marinas Leon H.
