En efecto, se prev&eacute; que el tr&aacute;fico de datos m&oacute;viles aumentar&aacute; 11 veces entre 2013 y 2018.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>La comunidad investigadora afronta esta inminente realidad en todos los frentes posibles. Las <strong>redes 5G<\/strong> son uno de ellos. La quinta generaci&oacute;n de redes de comunicaci&oacute;n, actualmente en desarrollo y que se espera reemplace al 4G en torno al 2020, requerir&aacute; soluciones fronthaul y backhaul capaces de hacer frente a este aumento de la carga de tr&aacute;fico, al tiempo que cumplen con nuevos y estrictos requisitos de servicio 5G de una manera adaptativa, compartible y rentable.<\/p>\n<p>Si observamos los diversos foros de investigaci&oacute;n y estandarizaci&oacute;n que lideran el desarrollo del 5G, como son el 5G-PPP, NGMN, 3GPP, IEEE, ITU, IETF, ETSI, etc., todos parecen alinearse en la visi&oacute;n de que <strong>los segmentos fronthaul y backhaul de la red de transporte converger&aacute;n o se fusionar&aacute;n en el 5G en lo que ahora se conoce popularmente como <em>Xhaul<\/em> o <em>Crosshaul<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Entonces, &iquest;qu&eacute; requisitos est&aacute;n impulsando tal fusi&oacute;n en el 5G? &iquest;Qu&eacute; tecnolog&iacute;as lo har&aacute;n posible? &iquest;D&oacute;nde se hallan las lagunas restantes y qu&eacute; est&aacute; haciendo la industria para que esto suceda? &iquest;Y cu&aacute;ndo vamos a ver este cambio? Para responder a estas preguntas, el Vicepresidente de 5TONIC, Arturo Azcorra, participar&aacute; en un <strong>panel<\/strong> titulado <strong>&lsquo;Crosshaul (Xhaul) &ndash; The fusion of Fronthaul and Backhaul in 5G!&rsquo;<\/strong> en el pr&oacute;ximo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobileworldcongress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Mobile World Congress 2017<\/strong><\/a>.
