AoA es el &aacute;ngulo de la direcci&oacute;n de propagaci&oacute;n de una onda de radiofrecuencia incidente sobre un conjunto de antenas. La primera demostraci&oacute;n muestra la estimaci&oacute;n del AoA en un sistema inal&aacute;mbrico que opera a 2.45 GHz. En la segunda demo el sistema usa el AoA estimado para esa frecuencia con el fin de ajustar la orientaci&oacute;n del haz a frecuencias de ondas milim&eacute;tricas o &lsquo;mmWave&rsquo; (banda de 60GHz).<\/p>\n<p>Esta iniciativa de investigaci&oacute;n conjunta de IMDEA Networks y Huawei tiene como objetivo explorar sinergias entre tecnolog&iacute;as inal&aacute;mbricas ya existentes y distintivas que son esenciales para las comunicaciones m&oacute;viles del presente y del futuro. IMDEA Networks aporta a este proyecto su experiencia en el campo, mientras que Huawei aporta datos de medici&oacute;n de un gran banco de pruebas pr&aacute;ctico, elemento clave para validar los mecanismos y algoritmos desarrollados en el proyecto.<\/p>\n<p>Gracias a esta colaboraci&oacute;n, los investigadores pueden explorar las consecuencias de la combinaci&oacute;n de redes m&oacute;viles cotidianas, como WiFi y LTE, con redes inal&aacute;mbricas de &uacute;ltima generaci&oacute;n que operan en la banda de ondas milim&eacute;tricas.
