Se le concede al Dr. Widmer este prestigioso premio en reconocimiento a su trabajo cient\u00edfico en el \u00e1rea de redes inal\u00e1mbricas.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>El premio de investigaci\u00f3n <em>Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award de la Fundaci\u00f3n de Alexander von Humboldt<\/em> se concede a investigadores de renombre internacional y que residen fuera de Alemania, en reconocimiento por sus logros sobresalientes en la investigaci\u00f3n hasta la fecha y su potencial excepcional prometedor para el futuro. La fundaci\u00f3n Humboldt concede unos 20 premios de investigaci\u00f3n <em>Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel <\/em>anualmente a investigadores internacionales de diferentes campos acad\u00e9micos.<\/p>\n<p>Joerg Widmer recibe el premio en reconocimiento de sus logros cient\u00edficos en el campo de las redes inal\u00e1mbricas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cerca del Joerg Widmer \u2013 El liderazgo en investigaci\u00f3n avanzada en telecomunicaciones<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right; height: 180px; margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px; width: 120px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.networks.imdea.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/joerg_widmer_profile_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>Desde septiembre de 2010, Joerg Widmer trabaja en Institute IMDEA Networks donde es Research Profesor titular y Gerente de Estrategia de Investigaci\u00f3n. Entre junio de 2005 y julio de 2010, fue gerente del Grupo de investigaci\u00f3n en redes ubicuas de DOCOMO Euro-Labs en Munich, Alemania, donde trabaj\u00f3 en varios proyectos en el \u00e1rea de redes cableadas e inal\u00e1mbricas. Antes de unirse a DOCOMO Euro-Labs, fue investigador s\u00e9nior en el grupo del Prof. Jean-Yves Le Boudec en la \u00c9cole Polytechnique F\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne (EPFL). All\u00ed, su foco principal de investigaci\u00f3n fueron las redes UWB y el dise\u00f1o de la capa MAC, as\u00ed como la codificaci\u00f3n de red en redes inal\u00e1mbricas. Joerg Widmer recibi\u00f3 su m\u00e1ster y doctorado en ciencias de la computaci\u00f3n por la Universidad de Mannheim, Alemania, en 2000 y 2003, respectivamente. En 1999 y 2000 fue investigador visitante en el Centro para la Investigaci\u00f3n ICSI Internet en Berkeley, CA, EE.UU.<\/p>\n<p>Joerg Widmer es el l\u00edder del grupo de investigaci\u00f3n sobre redes inal\u00e1mbricas (<a href=\"http:\/\/wireless.networks.imdea.org\/\">Wireless Networking Group<\/a>). Hace poco, fue galardonado con el <a href=\"https:\/\/erc.europa.eu\/consolidator-grants\">ERC Consolidator Grant<\/a> por su investigaci\u00f3n visionaria sobre comunicaci\u00f3n inal\u00e1mbrica. Tambi\u00e9n recibi\u00f3 una beca intraeuropea Marie Curie, as\u00ed como el Ramon y Cajal del Ministerio de Econom\u00eda y Competitividad. Actualmente, trabaja en cuatro grandes proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n: <a href=\"https:\/\/networks.imdea.org\/es\/proyectos\/mmmagic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mmMAGIC<\/a> <em>(<\/em><em>Red de acceso radio m\u00f3vil en base a ondas milim\u00e9tricas (mm-wave) para comunicaciones integradas de quinta generaci\u00f3n<\/em><em>), <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/networks.imdea.org\/es\/proyectos\/searchlight\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEARCHLIGHT<\/a> <em>Un nuevo paradigma de comunicaci\u00f3n para futuras redes inal\u00e1mbricas ultra-r\u00e1pidas)<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/networks.imdea.org\/es\/proyectos\/monroe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MONROE<\/a> (Medici\u00f3n de redes de banda ancha m\u00f3vil en Europa) y <a href=\"https:\/\/networks.imdea.org\/es\/proyectos\/tigre5-cm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TIGRE5-CM<\/a> (Tecnolog\u00edas Integradas de gesti\u00f3n y operaci\u00f3n de REd 5G).
