La Comunidad de Madrid ha mostrado su orgullo por los Institutos Madrile\u00f1os de Estudios Avanzados (IMDEA) ante los buenos datos registrados desde su fundaci\u00f3n entre los a\u00f1os 2006 y 2007. El vicepresidente del Gobierno regional, Ignacio Aguado, ha expresado ante los medios su compromiso para seguir impulsando estos siete centros de investigaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica e innovaci\u00f3n de elevado prestigio internacional (Software, Energ\u00eda, Networks, Materiales, Agua, Nanociencia y Alimentaci\u00f3n).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Actualmente, las 726 personas que trabajan en los proyectos de I+D de los siete IMDEA registraron en 2019 un volumen de actividad de 41,4 millones de euros, una cantidad que proviene: en un 50%, de financiaci\u00f3n de la Comunidad de Madrid, y el otro 50%, de fondos externos. Los centros captan esta financiaci\u00f3n adicional en convocatorias p\u00fablicas competitivas, internacionales, estatales y regionales, as\u00ed como a trav\u00e9s de contratos con empresas.<\/p>\n

Colaboraci\u00f3n con empresas punteras<\/h3>\n

Desde su puesta en marcha, los IMDEA han desarrollado 1.427 proyectos de I+D y han ejecutado 556 contratos con empresas. El alcance de su actividad es internacional, dado que mantienen colaboraciones con empresas de todo el mundo. De este modo, entidades internacionales como Google, Microsoft, Airbus, Boeing, Aerospace o la Universidad de Oxford, y espa\u00f1olas, como Telef\u00f3nica, Acciona, Repsol, Abengoa o Antol\u00edn, han confiado en la alta capacitaci\u00f3n de los investigadores de los IMDEA para colaborar en sus proyectos de I+D.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, los institutos reciben fondos europeos del programa H2020, el vigente marco plurianual de ayudas a la I+D+i de la Uni\u00f3n Europea, que financia proyectos en muy diversas \u00e1reas tem\u00e1ticas. Entre 2014 y 2019, han conseguido captar 30 millones de euros para 50 proyectos H2020; y en 24 de ellos, participan como l\u00edder del correspondiente consorcio internacional bajo el que se desarrollan las actividades. Por otro lado, las 38 patentes ya concedidas a los IMDEA, junto a las otras 32 que se encuentran solicitadas en la actualidad, son fruto de esta notable interacci\u00f3n entre investigaci\u00f3n y empresa que es propia de estos centros madrile\u00f1os de I+D.<\/p>\n

Alto prestigio internacional<\/h3>\n

En los\u00a0rankings<\/em>\u00a0internacionales de investigaci\u00f3n, los IMDEA se sit\u00faan en lugares destacados. En el caso de IMDEA Networks, en computaci\u00f3n de redes de telecomunicaciones y computaci\u00f3n m\u00f3vil, se encuentra al nivel de centros internacionales de prestigio, como el ETH Z\u00farich o la Universidad de Cambridge.<\/p>\n
