Los investigadores de IMDEA Networks <strong>Narseo Vallina Rodr\u00edguez y Guillermo Suarez-Tangil fueron los presidentes generales del evento<\/strong>, que cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de 260 asistentes de 119 instituciones acad\u00e9micas y de la industria, procedentes de 28 pa\u00edses. La edici\u00f3n de este a\u00f1o hizo un esfuerzo por alcanzar a participantes de instituciones subrepresentadas de \u00c1frica y Am\u00e9rica del Sur gracias a las becas de viaje por diversidad geogr\u00e1fica.<\/p>\n<p>La serie de conferencias IMC es un foro internacional altamente selectivo para presentar i<strong>nvestigaciones punteras en mediciones y an\u00e1lisis emp\u00edricos de redes<\/strong>. El programa t\u00e9cnico incluy\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 40 art\u00edculos revisados por pares que abordaron problemas de investigaci\u00f3n muy importantes y actuales, como la ciberseguridad, la privacidad, el ciberdelito, las redes sociales, el rendimiento y la robustez de redes, y el comportamiento de aplicaciones y usuarios. El profesor Alan Mislove, de la Universidad de Northeastern (Boston, EE.UU.), inaugur\u00f3 la conferencia con una interesante ponencia sobre c\u00f3mo la investigaci\u00f3n emp\u00edrica en Internet puede influir en las pol\u00edticas tecnol\u00f3gicas, aprovechando la experiencia adquirida durante su tiempo en la Casa Blanca. La conferencia, patrocinada por la Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), cont\u00f3 con el apoyo de actores clave en el ecosistema de Internet y la investigaci\u00f3n: Akamai, ICANN, IpInfo, Google, Meta, Cisco\/ThousandEyes, Comcast, TelecoRenta, Internet Society, Internet Initiative Japan, Ripe NCC, Brave, Fastly y Telef\u00f3nica, as\u00ed como apoyo institucional de la Fundaci\u00f3n para el Conocimiento Madri+d y la National Science Foundation de EE.
