El proyecto, financiado por la Comisi\u00f3n Europea dentro del programa Horizonte Europa, encabezar\u00e1 las innovaciones arquitect\u00f3nicas para la <strong>pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n de redes m\u00f3viles 6G<\/strong>, con el fin de permitir aplicaciones innovadoras, nuevos modelos de negocio y reducciones sustanciales del consumo de energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Mediante la propuesta y el desarrollo de tres innovaciones arquitect\u00f3nicas cr\u00edticas &#8211; Arquitectura Global Basada en Servicios (GSBA), Capa de Exposici\u00f3n de Confianza Cero (ZTL) y Capa de Computaci\u00f3n Continua (CCL) -, <strong>ORIGAMI crear\u00e1 est\u00e1ndares globales \u00fanicos, promover\u00e1 la transici\u00f3n ecol\u00f3gica<\/strong>, dar\u00e1 un nuevo impulso a la accesibilidad e inspirar\u00e1 aplicaciones innovadoras y nuevos modelos de negocio, maximizando la explotaci\u00f3n de las funciones de Inteligencia de Red basadas en IA. El proyecto llevar\u00e1 a cabo ocho demostraciones en el mundo real en seis emplazamientos experimentales y dos conjuntos de datos internacionales a gran escala de dos grandes operadores, que validar\u00e1n su tecnolog\u00eda y los resultados de la investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abEl entorno propuesto por ORIGAMI agilizar\u00e1 la comunicaci\u00f3n y la interoperabilidad en todos los niveles de la red, allanar\u00e1 el camino para est\u00e1ndares verdaderamente globales, <strong>democratizar\u00e1 el acceso a recursos computacionales extremadamente heterog\u00e9neos<\/strong> y permitir\u00e1 a terceros programar de forma segura sus redes virtuales en entornos de confianza cero\u00bb, afirma el <strong>Dr. Javier Garc\u00eda Rodrigo<\/strong>, Coordinador de Proyectos de Telef\u00f3nica Innovaci\u00f3n Digital. \u00abEsta investigaci\u00f3n -contin\u00faa el Dr. Garc\u00eda Rodrigo- es probablemente la primera en Europa que aborda de forma hol\u00edstica barreras sustanciales para el \u00e9xito de la 6G, desde limitaciones en el control y la interoperabilidad de la infraestructura virtualizada, hasta la falta de soporte adecuado para operaciones y facturaci\u00f3n globales, cada vez m\u00e1s comunes en escenarios reales\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El proyecto ampl\u00eda el alcance de trabajos anteriores como DAEMON<\/strong>, liderado por IMDEA Networks Institute y basado en el modelo arquitect\u00f3nico 5G, con el objetivo de aumentar todo el potencial de la virtualizaci\u00f3n y la programabilidad. Para lograr este objetivo, ORIGAMI adoptar\u00e1 una perspectiva completamente renovada: proponer una novedosa arquitectura cross-plane para redes 6G que soporte capas originales de exposici\u00f3n y computaci\u00f3n. Un marco de funcionalidades dentro del que destacan acciones como el soporte al modelo de operaci\u00f3n global de aplicaciones verticales, el despliegue masivo de IoT o la maximizaci\u00f3n del potencial de la virtualizaci\u00f3n y la programabilidad.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marco Fiore<\/strong>, Investigador Principal de IMDEA Networks Institute en el proyecto, destaca la contribuci\u00f3n de la instituci\u00f3n en este desempe\u00f1o cient\u00edfico: \u00ab<strong>Aportamos nuestra experiencia en el dise\u00f1o de funciones de red basadas en IA y en la programabilidad del plano de usuario de la red<\/strong>. En concreto, trabajaremos para desarrollar y demostrar en bancos de pruebas experimentales a nivel industrial nuevos modelos de aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico que puedan operar en planos de usuario heterog\u00e9neos mediante un dise\u00f1o de modelos y asignaciones de hardware eficientes. Este enfoque permitir\u00e1 un acceso m\u00e1s \u00e1gil a las capacidades de los modernos dominios de transporte programables. Para los operadores de redes, nuestras soluciones se traducir\u00e1n en una mayor velocidad, precisi\u00f3n y escalabilidad en comparaci\u00f3n con el estado actual de la t\u00e9cnica.\u00bb<\/p>\n<h2>Un ejemplo de transferencia tecnol\u00f3gica a la sociedad<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>El uso general actual de energ\u00eda por parte de la industria de las telecomunicaciones debe reducirse, ya que la industria consume entre el 2% y el 3% de la energ\u00eda mundial\u2026 <strong>ORIGAMI desarrollar\u00e1 soluciones que permitan operaciones RAN energ\u00e9ticamente prudentes, incluido un uso de energ\u00eda 2 veces m\u00e1s eficiente<\/strong> y una reducci\u00f3n del 35 % del consumo de energ\u00eda.<\/li>\n<li>Otro objetivo es contribuir a <strong>reducir la brecha entre la conectividad rural y urbana<\/strong> para construir redes m\u00f3viles m\u00e1s eficientes, (con el objetivo de mejorar 10 veces la eficiencia de costos en la RAN, o ahorros del orden del 50% en CAPEX para respaldar las operaciones globales).<\/li>\n<li>Adem\u00e1s, como ORIGAMI contribuir\u00e1 a desarrollar redes m\u00f3viles m\u00e1s eficientes y con <strong>mejor rendimiento, con menor latencia, mayor rendimiento y mayor confiabilidad<\/strong>, muchos sectores p\u00fablicos y las actividades cotidianas de las personas mejorar\u00e1n significativamente, ya que la vida actual depende totalmente del uso generalizado de las redes m\u00f3viles.<\/li>\n<li>ORIGAMI ayudar\u00e1 a ofrecer mejores servicios m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de las redes m\u00f3viles. Con la llegada de 5G y nuevos paradigmas como la divisi\u00f3n de redes, las redes m\u00f3viles pueden proporcionar servicios personalizados a diferentes industrias verticales.
