LiFi4Food no solo representa un hito tecnol\u00f3gico, sino tambi\u00e9n un compromiso con un futuro sostenible, donde la innovaci\u00f3n y la inteligencia se unen para potenciar la eficiencia en la producci\u00f3n de alimentos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLiFi4Food provee un <strong>sistema IoT para monitorear cultivos de agricultura de precisi\u00f3n<\/strong>. Mediante el despliegue de gran cantidad de dispositivos es posible monitorizar y controlar los par\u00e1metros de los cultivos en invernaderos de alta tecnolog\u00eda\u201d, explica Talavante. Estos dispositivos est\u00e1n equipados con sensores que permiten conocer directamente las condiciones en cada planta: temperatura, humedad del suelo, iluminaci\u00f3n&#8230; Gracias a esta informaci\u00f3n, los agricultores\/as pueden optimizar el uso de agua y energ\u00eda dentro de los invernaderos, maximizar el rendimiento de sus cultivos y automatizar tareas m\u00e1s f\u00e1cilmente.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEl elemento principal de nuestra soluci\u00f3n es la plataforma IoT sin bater\u00eda. <strong>Eliminar la bater\u00eda reduce el tama\u00f1o, coste y mantenimiento de los dispositivos, facilita su reciclaje y elimina riesgos de fugas en los cultivos<\/strong>\u201d, subraya Fr\u00f3meta. La mayor\u00eda de los protocolos de comunicaci\u00f3n inal\u00e1mbrica est\u00e1ndar consumen demasiada energ\u00eda para poder operar sin bater\u00eda de manera fiable. LiFi4Food hace esto posible gracias al uso de tecnolog\u00edas de comunicaciones de muy bajo consumo.<\/p>\n<p>La primera es el <strong>LiFi, que emplea la luz de las l\u00e1mparas LED para enviar informaci\u00f3n<\/strong>. Estas se encuentran desplegadas en los invernaderos para proveer de luz \u00f3ptima a los cultivos. El dispositivo IoT emplea una celda solar para, simult\u00e1neamente, recibir esta informaci\u00f3n y obtener energ\u00eda y operar de manera ininterrumpida. La segunda es el backscatter de radiofrecuencia (<strong><em>RF backscatter<\/em><\/strong>): el aparato IoT no genera por s\u00ed mismo las se\u00f1ales en las que env\u00eda la informaci\u00f3n de los sensores, sino que refleja las ondas de radiofrecuencia en el ambiente. Los dispositivos IoT se conectan en red para mantener actualizado al agricultor\/a con las condiciones de su invernadero en tiempo real.<\/p>\n<p>Dayrene y Javier han llevado este proyecto a diferentes programas de formaci\u00f3n para emprendedores como Santander X Explorer y <a href=\"https:\/\/networks.imdea.org\/es\/un-equipo-de-investigacion-de-imdea-networks-gana-el-primer-premio-en-eit-jumpstarter-con-la-idea-de-negocio-lifi4food\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EIT Jumpstarter<\/a>. En este \u00faltimo obtuvieron el primer premio en la categor\u00eda de Alimentaci\u00f3n, galardonado con 10.000 euros para el desarrollo de la empresa. Recientemente ha finalizado su participaci\u00f3n en el EIT Seedbed, enfocado a incrementar su conocimiento del mercado y del impacto de su producto.
