Los institutos de Legan\u00e9s IES Luis Vives, IES San Nicasio e IES Siglo XXI han atendido a la charla impartida por nuestro estudiante de doctorado <a href=\"https:\/\/networks.imdea.org\/es\/equipo\/equipo-imdea-networks\/personas\/alvaro-feal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00c1lvaro Feal<\/a> sobre los riesgos para la privacidad en aplicaciones Android y despu\u00e9s han podido visitar el laboratorio <a href=\"https:\/\/www.5tonic.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">5TONIC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Feal les cont\u00f3 c\u00f3mo las <strong>aplicaciones de Android pueden incluir c\u00f3digo de otras entidades o empresas (librer\u00edas de terceros) <\/strong>que se aprovechan de la informaci\u00f3n disponible en el tel\u00e9fono para acceder a datos personales de las personas usuarias. Estas empresas utilizan estos datos para generar beneficios, a trav\u00e9s del rastreo del usuario\/a o del uso de anuncios dirigidos a personas con unas caracter\u00edsticas concretas, lo que puede suponer un riesgo para su privacidad.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25032 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/networks.imdea.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/media-file-2022-05-17-researchers-at-schools-4-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, les explic\u00f3 c\u00f3mo las aplicaciones de control parental se comportan de manera inadecuada y suponen un riesgo para la privacidad de los ni\u00f1os y las ni\u00f1as y de sus progenitores. Para finalizar les habl\u00f3 de un estudio realizado en 2019 en el que<strong> detectaron vulnerabilidades en el sistema operativo Android\u00a0que permit\u00edan a miles de aplicaciones la recopilaci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n sensible<\/strong> de millones de personas usuarias, como por ejemplo su geolocalizaci\u00f3n e identificadores \u00fanicos, sin su conocimiento y consentimiento a trav\u00e9s de ataques de canales encubiertos (covert-channels) y laterales (side-channels).<\/p>\n<p>El alumnado disfrut\u00f3 mucho de la ponencia en la que Feal resumi\u00f3 los resultados obtenidos en distintos papers cient\u00edficos publicados en las prestigiosas conferencias de PETS y USENIX Security y que han recibido premios de la <a href=\"https:\/\/networks.imdea.org\/es\/la-aepd-otorga-por-tercera-vez-consecutiva-su-premio-de-proteccion-de-datos-a-investigadores-de-imdea-networks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AEPD<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25030 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/networks.imdea.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/media-file-2022-05-17-researchers-at-schools-6-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, pudieron conocer 5TONIC de la mano de <a href=\"https:\/\/networks.imdea.org\/es\/equipo\/equipo-imdea-networks\/personas\/neftali-gonzalez\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Neftal\u00ed Gonz\u00e1lez<\/a>, Systems Administrator de IMDEA Networks.
