In line with the centre’s strategy to promote excellence, IMDEA Networks Institute is inviting Expressions of Interest from potential international postdoctoral researchers who are interested in applying for a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Individual Fellowship. These fellowships offer individuals the opportunity to enhance their career development and prospects through advanced training, international and intersectoral mobility.

IMDEA Networks is a leading international research center in the area of Computer Networks with a large network of collaborating partners in academia and industry. It has a proven track record of publishing at top-tier international peer-reviewed conferences and journals, and participating and executing successfully research projects funded by the European Commission and the European Parliament, e.g., HORIZON EUROPE, by intergovernmental organizations, and by industrial partners.

How to express your Interest in a MSCA Individual Fellowship at IMDEA Networks:

Candidates must express their interest no later than June 13, 2022 23:59 AoE (14 June 2022, 13:59h Europe/Madrid Time), by providing:

• An updated CV (max. 2 pages plus full list of publications)
• A Research proposal summary (max. 2 pages)
• A letter of interest with the motivation to join IMDEA Networks (max. 1 page)

• 6G research topics such as URLLC, RIS design, massive MIMO, THz communications, machine learning-driven network algorithms (supervised by Dr. Joerg Widmer)
• Joint communication and sensing with sub-6 GHz and/or millimeter-wave technologies (supervised by Dr. Joerg Widmer)
• network programmability for traffic analysis and network management (supervised by Dr. Marco Fiore)
• analysis of spatiotemporal mobile service usage patterns and their links with socioeconomic features using large-scale measurement data (supervised by Dr. Marco Fiore)
• Battery-free LiFi systems (supervised by Dr. Domenico Giustiniano)
• 5G and beyond localization (supervised by Dr. Domenico Giustiniano)
• Cybercrime in Underground Ecosystems (supervised by Dr. Guillermo Suarez-Tangil)

Expressions of interest will be pre-selected based on the quality of the research idea and the candidate will be invited to make a formal application with their supervisor.
