Hi there! I’m Sai Pavan Deram, a PhD candidate under the supervision of Dr. Joerg Widmer. My research focuses on wireless communication and signal processing.
I earned my master’s degree in 2021 from TU Ilmenau, Germany, where I developed a strong foundation in multilinear algebra and its applications to signal processing and wireless communications. My master’s thesis, titled «Compressed sensing methods for high-resolution multi-dimensional parameter estimation,» was supervised by Dr. Khaled Ardah and Prof. Martin Haardt.
From 2014 to 2017, I gained valuable industry experience as an Associate Software Engineer at Robert Bosch (RBEI) India, working on Automatic Braking Systems. During this time, I specialized in sensor signal processing and diagnostics, contributing to the development of reliable automotive safety features.
My academic journey has led me to explore areas such as compressed sensing in antenna systems for parameter estimation, tensor-based techniques for wireless communications, and R-D parameter estimation. I’m particularly interested in the practical challenges and ongoing advancements in next-generation wireless communications and integrated sensing and communications.
I approach every challenge with humility and a strong desire to learn. Collaboration, curiosity, and perseverance guide my journey as I strive to contribute meaningfully to innovative projects and the broader research community.
