Biografía

I am a postdoctoral Communication networks and AI researcher and «Talent Attraction» fellow at IMDEA Networks Institute (Madrid, Spain). I joined the Opportunistic Architectures Lab and the Networks Data Science research groups in September 2021. As Communication networks and AI researcher, my research is focused on embedding intelligence in the network and studying explainable and energy-efficient ML/AI solutions tailored for communications. Additionally, my research interests also include distributed systems, information theory, Artificial Intelligence, and probability theory.

I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering from University of Zaragoza, Spain, in 2014 and 2016, respectively. Subsequently, I obtained a Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications from Sorbonne Université in 2019. From 2016 to 2019, I was a predoctoral researcher at Mitsubishi Electric R&D Centre Europe (Rennes, France). Before joining IMDEA, I was a postdoctoral researcher at EURECOM (Sophia-Antipolis, France), where I focused on coded caching and distributed computing.

Furthermore, I have been a Visiting Scholar at the University of California–Irvine, and My academic service includes membership in several Technical Program Committees (INFOCOM’25 and ’26, WiOpt’22 and ’24, ACM IMC’24, CCGRID’25, IEEE VCC’23 and ’24, among others), along with roles on the Organizing Committees of major conferences (ACM IMC’24, IEEE SECON’23, PAM’23, WiOpt’23, VDE-ITG WSA’21). Moreover, my research contributions span multiple European and national projects (DAMON, ERC DUALITY, ERC PERFUME, TAPIR-CM, AEON-CPS, PROMIN, among others). Finally, recent recognition includes the DataBri-X Datathon first prize in 2025 and the Master Thesis Award in High-Speed Broadband Mobile Communications by the College of Telecommunications Engineers of Spain in 2017.
