PhD Positions in Network Intelligence

Networks Data Science Group

The Networks Data Science group at IMDEA Networks Institute has an opening for a PhD student position in the area of Network Intelligence (NI). The successful candidate(s) will contribute to ongoing activities of the group, by investigating the design of practical AI models that support mobile network functionalities, and their integration in a cutting-edge experimental research testbed.

• Hands-on training in applying AI models in practical network environments

The position requires:

• A degree in Computer Science or related field, with a solid academic record
• Excellent programming skills
• A strong interest in experimental systems
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research.

These positions may be cofounded by the project AEON, subproject AEON-ZERO with reference TSI-063000-2021-52, funded by the European Union-NextGenerationEU through the Spanish Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan; which was awarded under Royal Decree 1040/2021 (call UNICO 5G I+D, year 2021).

The candidates may also take part of ECOMOME project, awarded in CHIST-ERA 2020 call, which may receive funds from the Ministry of Science and Innovation through “Proyectos de Colaboración Internacional” PCI2022-1 call
